What has become of healers ?

With the publication of the book Guérisseurs, rebouteux et faiseurs de secret en Suisse romande (Healers, bonesetters and secret-workers in French-speaking Switzerland) in 2008, a part of the veil surrounding the traditional practices of healers in French-speaking Switzerland was lifted. Fourteen years on, what has become of these healers? Magali Jenny, an ethnologist with a passion for traditional medicine, wrote her degree thesis on the healers of Fribourg before extending her research to French-speaking Switzerland. She has published several books on the subject, all of which have become bestsellers.
